Enzymes with FOS Contains:
Bromelain: is derived from the pineapple plant, is one of a group of proteolytic enzymes (enzymes capable of digesting protein).
Papain: it is derived from papaya and certain other plants, has a mild, soothing effect on the stomach and aids in protein digestion.
Amylase: is a digestive enzyme that breaks down polysaccharides (long-chain carbohydrates, such as starch) into glucose. (with the help of maltase)
Protease: are enzymes that break peptide bonds between amino acids of proteins.
Lipase: is the main enzyme responsible for breaking down fats.
Cellulase: most animals (including humans) do not produce cellulase, and are therefore unable to use most of the energy contained in plant material.
Lactase: is essential for digestive hydrolysis of lactose in milk. Deficiency of the enzyme causes lactose intolerance.
Maltase: assits amylase in breaking down carbohydrates and starches
.
Sucrase: involved in the hydrolysis of sucrose to fructose and glucose.
Phytase: is an enzyme that can break down the undigestible phytic acid part found in grains and oil seeds.
Hemicellulase: is a mixture of enzymes which can hydrolyze the indesgestable components of plant fibers.
Alpha Galactosidase: is an enzyme that breaks down carbohydrates and fiber. By assisting with the digestion of carbohydrates and fiber, there is less for the bacteria to digest and convert to gas.
Pectinase: is a general term for enzymes that break down pectin. |
